My apologies if this has been noted before (I'm new to the Covers group) but this is one of my all time favourite covers. I love the original song almost as much.
And of course, the original song by The Knack, the 80's classic we all know and love.
I would 100% own these sunglasses, oh yes.
Two O'Clock seems to have come very quickly, how did that happen? I need to go out and buy a tasty Subway for lunch and potatoes for having with vegetarian haggis later. I love the veggie haggis from Peckhams SO MUCH. I like normal haggis too, but you need to be in the right mood to eat something so meaty.
I WILL WORK ON MY ESSAY TODAY. I have to, otherwise I can't go out with Claire tonight and that would make me a rubbish friend.
What are the weirdest song titles in your playlist or music collection?

Ohh, lots!
Whipping the Horse's Eyes - Calexico
Free Radicals (A Hallucination Of The Christmas Skeleton Pleading With A Suicide Bomber) - The Flaming Lips
The Wizard Turns On… The Giant Silver Flashlight And Puts On His Werewolf Moccasins - The Flaming Lips
Kim's Watermelon Gun - The Flaming Lips
(A lot of The Flaming Lips' songs have insane titles)
That's What You Say When You Want Me To Kill You - Motormark
(Baby, Baby) Can I Invade Your Country - Sparks
They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From The Dead!! Ahhhh! - Sufjan Stevens
That Sufjan one might be by favourite song title ever. So many of his songs have insanely long titles.
Managed to eventually get in to the Oxfam shop today, I meant to go in around half 10 but it ended up being 1. I still fear the till a bit and am continually hoping that I won't have to do it.
I spent the rest of my day (evening, I suppose) watching stuff on YouTube. Laaame, I know. Strangely amused by the whole Hope is Emo mini series thing and even more amused that people thought/think that she's a real person. How weird are video blogs too, or V-LOGS, whatever. It just seems like people being unbearably self-concious and trying to be cute, I find it a little strange.
Queens of the Stone Age are playing T in the Park! Eeee! Something to be actually excited about. Everything else at T was shit or people I'd already seen. I know there's still lots to be announced and it's pretty far away, but still, this perks me up a lot. They're headlining King Tuts on the Sunday which means BEST OF ALL it is in a tent, which means it'll be like a proper gig rather than just standing outside miserable because it's raining and the sound is shit and you can't get close to the stage. I love QOTSA SO MUCH.
Mm. I keep looking at crafty things and wishing I was more crafty. I want to knit and make pretty things. I want to make weird, badly made scarves until I understand how to get better. I don't even know how to 'cast on' or whatever. Might be going home this weekend, will force my mum to teach me.
Stayed up far too late last night (doing what? I can't actually remember...) so tonight I'm aiming to be asleep by at the latest, 1am. I need to go into town and buy horrible polyester black school type trousers for starting William Hill on Thursday and I also need to return the Primark clothes I bought on a whim that look rubbish. Still rocking the £1 vest I got though.
Me and Paul went to meet Claire and Graham to go and see Withnail and I (I film I continuously forget I still haven't seen) at half 11 this morning only to find that Claire had misread the time - it was on at half 11 at night, not morning. Sigh! Being on Byres Road on a Saturday is something rare for me (despite living just off it) so it was nice to just enjoy some rare Scottish sunshine. What better time to go on a sightseeing open bus tour of Glasgow then, eh?
Actually quite enjoyable, though still fecking freezing. I never really go to the East end unless it's to go to a gig at the Barrowland, so it was nice to see it from the comfort of a bus where I couldn't get stabbed. Sadly, Claire was keen to visit the Barras market so that feeling of safety was quickly over and soon we were a little too close to the terrors of the haggard beauty of the market folks. Lovely. We managed to escape with only minor psychological damage and possibly food poisoning. Seriously though, how can people make a living on selling complete shit? It did give me fond memories of the Kinross market of my childhood. Ah, cheap sparkly nail varnish and those colour-in velvet lined pictures.
We visited the People's Palace, which was nice but I can't lie - it was pretty dull. Nice fountain though, most excellent Terracotta fountain of its kind, apparantly.
And my post surely would not be complete without photos taken on my exciting new Nokia phone, yay. Almost like a camera...but not.
Which household chores do you most/least enjoy?

I HATE washing the dishes, but drying isn't so bad. Me and my boyfriend have an agreement that he washes and I dry though, so that's okay.
Cleaning the kitchen and taking down the rubbish also suck. I hate anything to do with leftover food. Gross.
Cleaning the bathroom isn't the best task but seeing the dirt come off feels pretty good. It sparkles after too! Go Cillit Bang.
for WILLIAM HILL. Haha. The bookies, oh yeah.
"Can you come for an interview next Friday?"
"Yeah sure!"
"When would suit you?"
"Eh, anytime after about 2 since I volunteer at Oxfam in the morning..."
"Christ! You have a conscience and you want to work in a bookies are you joking me?!"
Hahaha. Excellent. I love how uber casual he was, I feel a lot less terrified than I usually do about interviews. I might be a bit un-Glasweigan though? What if they hate me for my morals?
Ah well, I need some money and it could be a bit entertaining.
Next Friday. Half three. William Hill on Dumbarton Road. Ask for 'John'. 45 minutes approx, remember application.
I feel a little giddy!
on I love bbc food.
